REQUIREMENTS
for hygiene safety of materials used
in the manufacture of equipment and surfacing for children's
playgrounds
1. The odor intensity of materials used in the manufacture of equipment and surfacing for children's playgrounds (hereinafter referred to as materials) shall not exceed 2 points.
2. The electrostatic field strength at the surface of polymer, polymer-containing, synthetic and blended textile materials under operating conditions shall not exceed 15,0 kV/m.
3. Materials shall not stimulate the growth and development of microflora, including pathogenic microflora.
4. The specific effective activity of naturally occurring radionuclides in mineral-based materials shall not exceed 370 Bq/kg. The permissible specific activity of cesium-137 in wood and wood-containing materials shall not exceed 300 Bq/kg.
5. The protective and decorative coating of equipment and surfacing shall be resistant to wet cleaning; equipment shall be resistant to saliva, sweat and moisture.
6. Equipment shall not have a local skin-irritating effect, or the toxicity index of equipment, determined in an aqueous medium (distilled medium), shall be within the range from 70 to 120 % inclusive, and in an air medium, from 80 to 120 % inclusive.
7. Materials shall not release volatile substances into the environment in quantities that may have a direct or indirect adverse effect on the human body (taking into account the combined effect of all released substances).
8. During the operation of equipment and surfacing, chemical substances classified as Hazard Class 1 shall not be released from the materials into the air (classification shall be carried out in accordance with the general requirements for the classification of hazardous chemical products established by the legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union Member States), and the release of other substances shall not exceed the hygiene standards specified in the table (if several chemical substances with an additive effect are released from the materials, the sum of the ratios of their concentrations to their maximum permissible concentrations shall not exceed 1).
