Certification for Ukraine

Ukraine is not a member of the EAEU and has its own certification system. The Ukrainian certification system has undergone significant reforms in recent years.

The old UKRSEPRO certification has been completely abolished and is only used in exceptional cases. Currently, a systematic reform of the UKRSEPRO certification system into Technical Regulations of the Ukrainian Republic is taking place in Ukraine.

Certification Processes in Ukraine

The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade is responsible for the certification processes in Ukraine. The Ukrainian technical regulations establish minimum requirements for imported products.

The aim of the new Technical Regulations is to ensure the safety of life and health of Ukrainian citizens. Additionally, environmental safety must be guaranteed.

TR Certification in Ukraine

The Ukrainian TR certificate is a state-certified proof that imported products meet the minimum requirements of Ukrainian standards.

During the certification process, documents and product samples are examined by Ukrainian specialists, and if the products meet the requirements, conformity is confirmed. TR certification can be issued for a single delivery as well as for serial production. A TR certificate is issued for a period of 1 to 5 years and can be extended multiple times.

TR Declaration in Ukraine

The Ukrainian TR declaration confirms that imported products comply with the technical standards of Ukraine. The declaration process is usually carried out by a legal entity based in Ukraine that acts as a representative of the foreign manufacturer.

The declaration process is prescribed by the Technical Regulations of the Ukrainian Republic. TR declaration can be issued for a single delivery as well as for serial production. A TR declaration is created for a period of 1 to 7 years and can be extended as often as needed.
