Difference between EAC Certificate and EAC Declaration

The EAC certification and EAC declaration are conformity assessment procedures applicable in the EAEU countries. The EAEU is an economic union that includes several republics, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, and Kyrgyzstan. The aim of the EAEU is to promote economic integration and cooperation among these countries.

EAC Certification: Certification is a procedure in which products are tested for conformity with the TR CU regulations of the EAEU states. Products intended for marketing in the EAEU countries must meet the TR CU/EAEU safety requirements.

EAC Declaration: The EAC declaration is a conformity assessment. In this procedure, the manufacturer declares that the product complies with the TR CU regulations. This procedure is generally suitable for goods with lower risk and simpler requirements.

Sample Shipment for EAC Conformity Assessment

If you are exporting products to the Eurasian Economic Union and need to conduct an EAC conformity assessment, it is important to contact accredited testing and certification bodies to ensure that your goods meet the TR CU requirements.

Sample shipment for EAC conformity assessment includes the following steps:

1. Selection of an accredited body: choose a certification body authorized to conduct the EAC conformity assessment for the specific product categories.

2. Contact: reach out to the selected body to obtain information about the process, required documents, and costs.

3. Preparation of documents: prepare all necessary documents required for the conformity assessment. This may include technical documentation, test reports, drawings, product descriptions, and other relevant information.

4. Sample shipment: send samples of your products to the accredited body according to the instructions. Ensure that the samples are representative of the entire product batch and meet the technical requirements.

5. Examination and evaluation: the accredited body will examine and evaluate the submitted samples to ensure they comply with EAEU regulations. This may include laboratory tests, inspections, and other assessment methods.

6. Issuance of the conformity certificate: after successful completion of the conformity assessment, the accredited body will issue an EAC certificate or an EAC declaration.

It is important to gather information about the requirements early and coordinate the process with the selected body to avoid delays and ensure that your products can enter the EAEU market smoothly.

EAC Marking of Goods

The EAC marking is a labeling system that applies to products intended for sale in the EAEU countries. The EAC marking replaces the previous GOST certification and is a sign of a product's conformity with the regulations of the EAEU member states.

Here are basic information about EAC marking of goods:

1. Marking requirement: Products intended for sale in the EAEU countries must be marked with the EAC marking if they fall under the relevant technical regulations.

2. Product categories: the EAC marking applies to various product categories, including machinery, electronics, toys, medical devices, construction products, and many others. The specific requirements vary depending on the product type.

3. EAC conformity assessment: to obtain the EAC marking, the manufacturer must conduct an EAC conformity assessment. This may include EAC certification or EAC declaration, depending on the risk level and complexity of the product.

4. Application of the marking: the EAC marking must be affixed in a visible and legible manner on the product or its packaging. The size and design of the mark are standardized.

5. Documentation: the manufacturer must create and maintain the necessary documentation that demonstrates the product's conformity with the technical regulations. This documentation must be available for inspection by the relevant authorities upon request.

6. Validity of the marking: the EAC marking is valid in all EAEU states. Products marked with the EAC marking can circulate freely in all member countries without additional national conformity certificates.

The marking serves as confirmation of quality and facilitates the movement of goods within the EAEU countries. Manufacturers wishing to introduce their goods to the EAEU market should review the requirements for their products and take the necessary steps for EAC marking.

EAC Documentation and Conformity Confirmation

The EAC documentation is an essential component of the conformity assessment for products intended for sale in the EAEU countries. The documentation serves as proof of conformity with EAEU regulations and is required to obtain EAC certification.

The preparation of documentation must comply with the following standards:

  1. GOST 2.601-2013 - Unified system of design documentation, operational documentation
  2. GOST 2.610-2006 - Rules for the preparation of operational documentation

Here are the typical elements of EAC documentation:

  1. Application for conformity assessment
  2. Technical specifications and documents
  3. Test reports and test results
  4. Quality management system
  5. Product sample description
  6. Risk assessment
  7. EAC approval

It is important to note that specific requirements may vary depending on the product category. Manufacturers should therefore review the relevant regulations and ensure that their documentation complies with EAC standards. The documentation should be carefully maintained, as it must be presented in the event of audits or regulatory inquiries.
